I am committed to providing you a quality service, and to applying this policy fairly. I am committed to flexibility and consideration of all changes up to six weeks prior to your scheduled wedding date, acknowledging that most of my work that goes into preparing for your special day happens well before. Beyond the initial time spent getting to know you, planning your ceremony, and writing your ceremony script, your legal notices must usually be submitted no later than 30 days prior to your event. If you have any concerns or questions about this policy, please contact me. Where I can, I offer reasonable flexibility and payment plans on request.

Bookings and cancellations

• I offer introductory consultations free of charge.

• I offer provisional in-depth consultations starting from $150. Any costs of provisional consultations must be paid prior to the provisional consultation, and will be fully attributable towards the total cost of my services, should you decide to proceed.

• You may place a hold for your wedding date for up to 7 days without payment.  

• A 50% booking deposit is required to secure a booking for your chosen date and time.

• Depending on the services already provided, you may be eligible for a partial refund, provided I receive your cancellation at least 6 weeks prior to your scheduled wedding date. A cancellation received within 24 hours of booking would be eligible for a full refund.

• Your full balance is due 6 weeks prior to the scheduled wedding date, or at the time of booking, whichever is closer to the scheduled wedding date.

• Any cancellations you make within 6 weeks of the scheduled wedding date are non-refundable.

Changes to scheduled wedding dates

• If you need to change your wedding date for whatever reason, I will do my best to accommodate your change. 

• A change you request to your wedding date will not incur any additional charge where I am available for your alternative date, and I receive your request to change the wedding date at least six weeks prior to your scheduled wedding date.

• A change you request to your wedding date will likely incur an additional charge where I incur reasonable costs to accommodate the reschedule, or where I receive your request to change the wedding date closer than six weeks prior to your scheduled wedding date.

• If you make a change to your scheduled wedding date that I am unable to accommodate, it will be treated as a cancellation.

• If you make a change to your scheduled wedding date that I am unable to accommodate, in lieu of performing the ceremony, my service includes recommending you an available, alternate celebrant, and supporting the handover of preparation to your chosen alternate celebrant. Where appropriate, my service may also include negotiating a reduced fee with the alternate celebrant, depending on the completed preparation. All policies and decisions regarding services provided by the alternate celebrant are at their discretion.

• In the highly unlikely event I am unable to provide the services agreed on your scheduled wedding date, I will arrange, brief and prepare a replacement celebrant at no extra charge, who will perform the ceremony based on the agreed script. Wherever possible and practical, I will consider your personal circumstances and preferences when identifying an appropriate replacement celebrant, and seek your consultation before deciding. 

• If I can no longer provide the agreed services on your confirmed, scheduled wedding date, and I cannot find you a replacement celebrant, I will give you a full refund.

Deviations to this policy

• Any deviations to this policy will be considered under exceptional circumstances, and are at my discretion.
